The primary philosophy is simple. There are two things I really do not want.
First, I do not want other people deriving financial or social benefit solely from work that I have done. Just taking the work I have done for personal gain feels disrespectful. However, once someone puts their own spin or creative effort, that concern goes away. As an aside, I also do not like reuploads because they tend to have lower audio quality which undermines the music.
Second, I do not want the music being associated with video games that are not TETR.IO. The music was handcrafted for the game, and I really value that context being associated with the experience TETR.IO provides. If other games were to use it, it would dilute that context.
